How to Replace 10-Inch Reset/Eject Cable

Step 1:  Remove the 2 gold control port screws.  Replace the top cover on the PS2 to avoid the control port dangling, possibly damaging the cable.

Step 2:  Remove the 2 gold screws that hold down the power supply and the expansion bay cage.

Step 3:  Lift up the right half of the power supply.  Lift up and out the expansion bay cage.

Step 4:  Now you have exposed the slot to re-insert your reset/eject cable.  This shows a white slot.  Some PS2s have a brown clip that holds the Reset/Eject cable in place.

Important:  Reverse this order to put your system back together.  It is VERY Important that you tape down the reset/eject cable onto the top of your DVD drive again.  Otherwise it may find itself in a screw hole and you can end up putting a screw right through it.
